VERMOP was founded in 1927 by Max and Else Salmon and operated as an independent family-owned company through three generations until mid-2023. Since July 2023, VERMOP has been part of the Freudenberg Group and, together with the professional cleaning brands Vileda Professional and NILFISK, belongs to Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions.
From its beginnings as a small mop sewing workshop, VERMOP has grown over nearly 100 years into a well-established provider of professional cleaning solutions and systems. With passion and dedication, the company developed innovative systems and high-quality tools for cleaning professionals. Today, most of the manual cleaning solutions, including cleaning trolleys, mopping systems with mop covers, and VERMOP cleaning cloths, continue under the Vileda Professional brand. This is also a result of the merger of VERMOP GmbH with Vileda GmbH.
